About
the Artist
Born in New York and raised in Los Angeles, Arielle can’t remember
a time when she wasn’t creating something and sharing it with
others. At a crossroads in her life when she wasn’t sure which
direction to take, an opportunity to teach art presented itself. In
addition to teaching classes in local private schools she was involved
in the L.A.’s Best program, bringing innovative art studies to
inner city schools. In the classroom she blossomed with her students
and witnessed the healing power of art, particularly while working with
at-risk and learning-disabled kids. “Teaching taught me so much
about myself, as well the importance of accessible art.”
For years Arielle made greeting cards and shared them with friends and
family. Through word-of-mouth she began selling orders of her designs
to an ever-expanding circle of fans. She knew she was on to something
when someone referred to the cards as “little works of art.”
As her passion for the cards grew, so did the business, and it became
obvious that this was what she was meant to do. “Everyone should
be able to act on their passion. I feel fortunate to know what mine
is.”
Arielle lives in Los Angeles with her daughter, Riley Rose. |
